Wildish Sand and Gravel to Develop Near Mount Pisgah and Willamette River
After contributing $10,000 to support the passage of Measure 37 in 2004, Wildish Sand and Gravel filed the largest claim to date in Lane County. The company is now seeking to develop half of their 14,000 acre holdings that lie between the Willamette River and Mount Pisgah. Wildish has demanded $15 million in compensation if the county does not grant them permission to develop the acreage. The company intends to build a gravel mine, and then housing subdivisions after the mine is exhausted.
