Measure 37 Claimant Albert Powers Contributed $5,000 to The No on 49 Campaign

Albert Powers of Powers Ranch Co., contributed $5,000 to the No on Measure 49 campaign. He has also filed two Measure 37 claims to build subdivisions on about 12,000 acres:

  • One Measure 37 Claim by Albert Powers is for 8,548 acres in Coos County
  • Another is in Curry County for 3,081 acres

In these two Measure 37 subdivision claims, Powers seeks $116.7 million in compensation from Oregon Taxpayers if he is not allowed to waive existing restrictions on development. His development intentions include an 864-lot subdivision in Coos County and a another subdivision in Curry County.
